Trash can for Hunter 356

Hello,

When I purchased my boat a few years ago I never did get the original trash can that sits in the galleys countertop cut out . Would anyone by chance have the measurements or even better an idea on where I could possibly buy a new one?

uh, that opening is designed to hold a tall kitchen trash bag, not a can. I use the kitchen bags that have a tie built into the top edge and pull it tightly around the lip on the underside

Our 2005 H36 does have a plastic trash can in the galley

Next time I’m on the boat I will measure it for you but with the major snow storm forecasted for this weekend it might take a week

I see you are in Oakville. My boat is at PCYC so just down the road. Might be easier to do a paper template of the size of the opening as it is a perfect fit for the hole in the counter top and sits on the recessed lip under the lid

When Hunter redesigned the cabin for the 36 and moved the trash location to the side of the galley, they did add the can. I personally prefer the bag because they are easier to handle, and when underway I put any filled bags into a 40gal construction bag in the aft locker(portside of swim platform) until we get ashore

gladwish, thank you very much that would be great. I'd be more than happy to meet you for the template or just the measurements would be fantastic as well . Snow's coming down pretty good here in Oakville .
