I am looking at a 35 in the Chicago area and would have to it transported to Lake of the Ozarks in MO (about 500 miles). Any ideas on estimated costs for transporting. It seems all the sites require ownership before giving an estimate for shipping.
I had a H26 shipped from michigan to ny for $1.25 per mile one way or about $800 for the 1300 mile round trip for the hauler. I had clear title and insurance on it before he hooked it up.
Mick, just a rough guess but somewhere around 2 to 3 dollar per mile plus any permit cost.(overwidth)Additional cost off unstepping and restepping the mast and any other cost of getting the boat ready for transport.Inculuding charges for taking out of water or loading on truck and relaunch at other end.These cost vary by yard to yard and depending on what you do, can add too or cut cost.I would guess you are looking at $2500 to $4000 total cost.
