Transparent Forward Hatch?

Has anyone replaced the forward hatch with a transparent hatch? I'm looking for a way to let in some light with the hatch closed. Considering cutting the center of the hatch out and replacing it with Lexan. Has anyone done this or have other suggestions?

Clear forward hatch

We replaced our solid fiberglass hatch on our early model C36 and it made a huge difference! We ordered it from Mike at Cruising Concepts... I think he sources them elsewhere (although he made beautiful folding teak dinette and cockpit tables). It takes awhile, but is a huge improvement over the stock hatch - no more dark V-berth! When installing, you drill new holes and simply use the original hardware. See related link below. Best, Trevor
