the lingo is a problem
Ya, What I have because I'm a cheap SOB and don't like punching holes in the hull, is the standard issue, designed to be mounted in the water, off a bracket, garmin transducer. The sales dude who sold me the unit told me if my boat had a solid hull I could mount it inside forward with some slow curing epoxy. He said that any air pockets between the transducer and the water, like in a cored hull or bubbles in the epoxy will cause a problem. Thanks for the sanding tip. What kind of epoxy should I use.
