Our 14 yr old ladder with its wooden treads has finally had it. Any ideas on types of transom ladders? We've got a '86 MacGregor . Please respond quickly... We are in the water and can't get back in our boat!
Hi Perry...... I carry an alluminum tubing rope ladder just for emergencies. Harder on the toes.....but it works Make some hooks from ss rod and hang off your stantion uprights. happy climbing.......dan
A four step ladder that hooks over the rails only sells for around $35 at West Marine. The fold-up stainless steel ones that bolt to the transom go for around $95. Don't, repeat don't buy the three step ladder unless you're used to taking that first step with your knee cap under your chin.
