I have a Hunter 27 1980 sailboat. I have a Renault RC8D diesel engine. The transmission slips. I had adjusted it once but all that did was eliminate the reverse with out solving the slipping while in forward. I have received a quote from the Renault dealer in England for a rebuilt transmission. It is a bit high. Does any one have a solution to this problem? What would help is a marine transmission shop, a used parts person, an expert, even someone who has the same problem here in the states.
