I have a noisy tranmission - it shudders the whole boat periodically when I change gears into neutral ie from fwd or reverse. The issue is now getting more frequent and harder to get out of and even caused the engine to stall yesterday.
Mechanic said it was just cones slipping in the clutching process altho it didn't occur with him on board.
Now interfering with safe operation of the boat ie engine cut out coming into berth hot and only quick thinking from my wife on the lines prevented bow damage.
What do I ask the mechanic to go after? Any suggestions?
