This is reply to Brian Hofler. Brian if you will send me your
mailing address I will send the sketches of the trailer. They are
too grey to travel well by fax. I have searched for the
instructions for raising mast but they have vanished. They will turn
up somewhere and I will send then.
Concerning a get-together for southern B.C. and Washington. We will
be interested if the boat gets in the water by that time. It is
sitting at the top of the driveway awaiting refit.
Is it the marina at Port Browning you are thinking of? I've
anchored up the bay but never been on the docks there. Is there a
restaurant there? As I recall there is no particular village
nearby. Another alternative might be Ganges harbour at Salt Spring.
Last year the Albin cruising club had a get-together there of 16 or
so of the motor boats. There is a pleasant pub and restaurant at the
foot of the dock and a 10-minute stroll into town. It is a bit
further north than Browning, for the U.S. people to travel. Perhaps
arrangements could be made at the sailing club, although it is a km
or so out of town and has no facilities except the clubhouse and
washrooms.
Best wishes. John Sprague, Salt Spring Island, B.C. Flagfish #1492
