Towing
There are three important factors for safety:1. Good trailer hitch. 2. Good trailer brakes.3. Proper tongue weight. I like to have around 250 lbs. You can measure this by putting a bathroom scale under your trailer jack. If you do not have enough tongue weight, you trailer can start swaying, and take over, possibly flipping your tow vehicle, S-10 or a one ton truck. You will be able to tell if your tow is tracking properly: When accelerating past 40 or 45 mph go slow. If you feel any swaying from your trailer, slow down, you do not have enough tongue weight. I have towed my 22 to FL twice with a 1/2 ton, 4.3 liter pick-up. It is doable, but sometimes more power would be nice. David
