Trailering a Mac 26X
I have trailered my Mac 26X from Edmonton Alberta to Bella Coola on the upper coast of BC many times. I carry all the extra weight like gas, water, clothes, food in my vehicle leaving the sailboat basicly empty. With 50HP OB on stern it pulls very well. Getting near the coast I end up at 5000 ft elevation then proceed down a 18% narrow gravel road for 12 miles ending at around 900 ft elevation then on a paved highway to sea level for another 50 miles. I have never had a problem on any of these trips except having the hitch come off and after that I would recommend using a hitch lock at all times. I was lucky received no damaged but scared the heck out me. Otherwise the Mac 26X trailors very well.Fred Scott "LADY Vi"
