Trailering the boat

I am going to Texas next week to bring home my boat. I had a trailer built in Texas to fit. Should the trailer have a soild support the lenght of the keel to load on? I don't see but three cross members (steel) across the center of the trailer. I wouldn't think hauling the boat 2300 plus miles this way would be a good idea. Do any of you guys live in Rockport, Texas?

I put a length of steel c channel lined with trex composite and rubber under the length of the keel.
