Trailering Catalina 22

Is it realistic to trailer sail a 22? Can I pull it with a Ford ranger rated for 3200 lbs.?

You bet!

We trailer our C27, a C22 should be easy. Depending on the distance and whether you are going up and down mountains, your vehicle should be satisfactory.

my C22 sits on its trailor in the.....

driveway i trailor it every where to all the lakes around salt lake city i use a full size pickup for the mountans but a ford ranger should do fine i prefer a larger truck so if the boat gets in truble the truck out wayes the boat and i can over power the boat

my unit, for comparison to yours

I tow my C-22 long distances, flat and mountains, the reason I purchased it over the C-25 was because you can tow it behind a vehicle that also can live in the Real World. In this case it is a '94 Pathfinder, weighs 4000#, has tow package, std, fullsize spare, rated for 3500# which my load is quite near. check your tire inflation, trailer tires run hard. And grease the bearings, and get out of town. that's what C-22's are all about
