Bob, Pulling the Catalina 22 on level ground can be done with a four wheeler (I've done it!) and my first experience in pulling my boat was with a small 6 cylinder Chevy Blazer. So, level ground pulling for short distances can be easily done with a small vehicle. I stress short distances - long distances will likely over tax your car. Remember too that suppose you get up to speed then have to brake suddenly. The weight of your car and underbody frame then come under some hair-raising forces. Another problem comes too when pulling the boat and trailer out at the landing. You're likely to need more muscle here depending,of course, on the grade of the launch.
