Hi there, has any one ever had a trailer problem, or any comments about them. Thanks Mike.

Install Bumper Rails !

Hi Mike.... The standard Mac trailer will need side bumper rails installed for landing in ANY wind. Without them the boat will drift OVER the wheel fenders toward your BRAVE second mate and OUT of the trailer outline (not COOL!) Also install 2" side tie down straps from the (useless)trailer goal posts to the stantion post for road safety. Happy Motoring.......dan

Boy, if that ain't the truth!

Without side rails or those guide posts on the original MacGregor trailer, loading the boat centered on the trailer is almost impossible. Done by yourself, it becomes a matter of luck by repeatly pulling the trailer out of the water until it centers. With any wind, you can forget ever getting the boat center just right! Just a few more bucks invested in the MacGregor trailer design would have saved a lot of ill will toward the designer.

Trailer trouble

I have a problem with the connection between the leaf spring and the main frame of the trailer The hanger that holds the spring to the trailer has broken and I am at a lose to fine a replacement part.
