Does anyone have an idea of what a 1979 vintage Cat 22 trailer, trailer brakes no longer work, but otherwise in usable condition, might sell for? I am selling my boat, I keep it in a marina, but have a trailer. I am thinking of offering the boat without the trailer. So, I was wondering what it might sell for and what kind of market there would be in Southern California.

Keep it

Every now andd then someone posts here looking to buy a trailer and it ends up being a hassle and/or expensive. You will diminish the value of your 22 by not having a trailer. A C22 is a trailer sailboat. My advice is to keep the package intact. Randy

Not Much

Trailers, especially older ones are generally not too much in demand, unless you happen to run into someone with a C-22 who needs a trailer. To give you an idea, I bought one a few years ago (a bit smaller, about for a 15-18' boat) for $85 and just gave it away as a donation last year. I'd definitely sell it with the boat.

trailer

hello san diego, this new format dosen't tell me who you are.don't split them up, the trailer can be a deal maker if you have one and a deal braker if you don't i bought my 22 because it had a trailer and i could choose where i wanted to store it. the trailer has saved me $1200 a year slip fees or $720 in storage fees by keeping it at home if the new owner doesn't want it keep it, it should be worth $600.00 it would be over $1000.00 to have one made. good luck john

Trailer

Sold my old 1973 trailer for $200.00. No brakes. No lights. Mostly a Rusty White color with Bunkers. Bought a new trailer from the same manufacturer this year. $3200.00 Keep the trailer with the boat, unless the trailer is in bad shape. Campy Windsocket#2226

I need a trailer!

I'm in need of a trailer for a 1987 22footer, swing keel. keel up it draws 2.5 ft. I live in Stamford, CT (near NYC). If you're willing to sell, I may be willing to buy. Provided you're anywhere close to CT. :) E-mail me. Tcgrad99@aol.com, and/or James.Moran@ubs.com thanks.
