Trailer light on the mast crutch?

After watching my 1985 Hunter 23.5 all snow cowered on it’s trailer all winter I’ve been concerned that the end of the boat is a long way back from the end of the trailer. I’m considering attaching additional tail/stop/turn lights to the mast crutch. Does anyone see any problems with this? I know in Nebraska to be “legal” anything that extends three feet past the end of the trailer needs to be lit at night. So far the law apparently looks the other way as I’ve not had any trouble. My major concern is the brake/turn lights will have to be fairly close together due to the fact that the ladder and outboard mount limit the available space. I’ve attached a crude drawing to show my plans. Bob N S/V Miss Lisa
