I just bought an O'day 26 (1985)!!! Trailered it 525 miles. The keel rests on the bottom of the trailer(pads). It is an ez loader trailer. The roller wheels on the starboard side are hardly even touching. Should the keel be touching or just off the roller pads?

All pads should be bearing some of the load as well as whatever is supporting the keel. That may be the correct answer, but you got there in one piece, so all's well that ends well.

I keep mine 60% keel and 40% pads when towing (no, I don't know for sure but that is my guess) and about 90% keel when in my yard or at the launch area (it is stored there rigged all season. I think it helps keep from pressing the hull and creating any indetation memory when stored. Also, my tounge weight is about 300lbs. when towing and maybe 100 in the yard. I move it fore and aft on the trailer to control that.
