Hello all. My name is Robert and I hail from California's central coast. I'm looking at purchasing a 1977 O'day 20 with a shoal keel. The boat has no trailer and will need to be moved. Can someone please post a pic of the trailer they are using so I can see what I'll need? I don't know how deep the shoal keel is, and don't want to show up with the wrong trailer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd guess that the keel sticks down about 6" or so below the bottom of the boat. Draft is 14" with the CB up, so I'm estimating that the keel is +/- half of that. I've attched pictures of various O'DAY 20s on trailers, plus a drawing from O'Day. Most trailers for powerboats around 20' should be easy to adapt to the 20. Just be sure that you have rollers or such support under the keel.
