Oday 22 Rio vista
I am looking at a 1968 little dude trailer to tow my oday 22, but I cant find any specs on the trailer to see if it can carry the boat. The trailer is adjustable and seenms to allow for the right configeration, has 4 bolt wheels and seems ok, but does anyone know what the GVWR is for this trailer. the way I figure it, it needs to be 2300 lbs.

Any feedback is most welcome,

I think that a 1968 boat trailer is a little too old Andrew. I'd keep looking. See if you can find a tandem trailer that will take a 23' boat. You will probably need to buy some extra long bunk extension brackets for it and set the trailer up with a couple of pressure treated 2x10" planks sandwiched together in the center of the trailer's cross members like I did to my trailer. Unless you can buy a roller trailer for this boat, which would enable you to take advantage of a shorter trailer with a single axle that will carry 3500 lbs., the bunk trailer needs to be long enough for you to float the boat on and off the trailer without swamping the towing vehicle. Otherwise, you would need to install a special 10' extension tongue on your trailer that can be rolled out and pinned when you need to get the trailer into deep water.
My old Load-Rite roller trailer that came with my boat new in 1986, was built in 1985 and it has since rotted away about five years ago. I would keep looking.

Oday 22 on trailer at home in Jewett City CT (15 miles from New London)
When I bought my 1973 O'Day 22 a few years ago, I also put a new trailer under her. It is a Load Right Trailer, represented by

I love it. so easy to load and off load. Load capacity is just under 3000 lbs, so Connecticut does not require it to have brakes:).
