I have a 1978 O'Day 23 that I have to "jack up" to attempt to free up the centerboard from the trunk. I noticed that the keel is not riding on the keel rollers. Instead the rollers underneath the hull itself are supporting all of the weight. Should the rollers support the keel? The centerboard seems to project one to two inches below the slot but don't know if that is correct either. Please let me know what others see on their boat on the trailers. Thanks

Support that baby...

Walt...I have a '73 O23 and had the same issue with my new trailer. I just wedge a peice of a 2x4 so it is nice and snug (use a hammer to make sure she is snug). May need to cut an angle for a better fit. Either way, I would get some support under that keel.

Most of the weight should be on the keel stub. If the rollers against the hull are supporting the weight check the glass for stress cracks!!
