I am trying to collect the history of ownership of my 37C. I have contacted Hunter and they were happy to check their data base on my hull ID and will be getting back with me. I'm guessing that they will only know the original buyer. I haven't, yet, but am planning on checking with state and county licensing and recorders offices and the broker who sold me the boat. Any other ideas?

Talk with former owner?

I actually went aboard with the former owner after the survey. Got a lot of questions answered. They gave me piles of documentation, mostly from the original owner. There was an owner between the original and them. I have never talked with the first two but would like to do so. The first owner was a meticulous note keeper. Mine is a 1979 so has a lot of water under the keel. I know that it has been in all of the Great Lakes. Soon to head for saltwater. . . .I hope.

State license bureau

When we registered our boat in OH, the license bureau had records of the past three owners. If we pushed, they would probably have the whole history since it came in the state. David

Documented???

If the boat was documented wouldn't the Coast Guard have the information?
