Anyone here raced on one of these Transpacs ?
I can't imagine a tiller on a 52 ft planing boat, guess thats why the rudder looks like a butter knife...

Actually these type of boats are very easy to steer with a tiller. Planing or not. Here's my partner driving an Class 40 Pogo downwind under spinnaker. Its only blowing like 18 so we are doing a light plane; maybe 12 knots. Very easy.
