Have a new 10'8" porta-bote which we will be towing[longest trip will be 26 miles to Cat Harbor] have never towed anything B4. Also have purchased a Torqeedo outboard which will not be on P-B when being towed.
I thought about installing padeyes to port and stareboard to clip a bridle to.
Any hints, help or ideas will be gratefully accepted.
I've heard that I should have some weight put aft in the P-B,Two or three jugs of water. Any merit?
Thanks in advance.

Dinghies are often towed by their painters tied off on one of the stern cleats. Power boats with their larger wakes will use a bridle to center the dinghy.

Knowing the ocean swells that can develop between MDR and Catalina Island, my question is why are you towing a boat that can be so easily disassembled and stowed? It seems like saving wear and tear on the dinghy would be worth the short assembly time.

Dave, thanks for the reply, it seems that it is easier to assemble it in my backyard or dock[5 min. or less], but on a hunter 33 deck or cockpit is another story. Right now it is upside down on a dinghy rack at the marina, awaiting its big moment next month.
Thanks again
