After hearing some people scream as the boat ran aground we did what any normal person would do...we snapped a pic and posted it on the internet.
This just happened a few minutes ago. What kind of Tour boat captain runs aground in a marina?

I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt-

and say he either lost steering, or power, or both. Or his job, I know something's got to go!!

I think we gotta know the circumstances before we make judgement.

I agree with you, Ross. It is exceedingly bad karma to make fun of another's situation. No telling what happened to this guy.... he could have had a heart attack or something.

I've watched many boaters blow it trying to get in an out of their slips. The intitial reaction to have a good laugh is immediately tempered by the recollection of the many mistakes I've made....... and will make.

Remember the addage.... there are only two types of boaters.... those who have already run aground .. and those who are going to.

I thought it was "those have run aground and those who lie about it".

That's no tour boat. It is a commercial fishing vessel. Up here I would say an oyster dragger, but down there I don't know.

Trust me ! the oyster boats in Texas look like wreckage from a third world country and the crew wouldn't have SCREAMED when they found tall mud. It's all mud.

He could have had a heart attack. He may have been attacked by his exwife. But after careful review, I still believe the best course of action is to laugh.
To his credit he didn't need towed off. He was able to work it free. maybe he just ran aground on purpose. But screaming passengers makes me think not.
