Ahoy;

I am planning on using VC-17 on my boat for 2017. Of course many years of an ablative paint were on my hull.
I have removed most of it.
Does anybody know of a solvent to help removing the remaining paint?

Thanks

Find someone to soda blast it...
Walnut shells work too...

You can sand it all off, but its toxic as heck, and its HOURS of back breaking work. It is worth EVERY FREAKING MINUTE of it, in speed boost you'll get, but it stinks and I believe solidly that if you can find a blaster that has experience doing it, its worth the $1500 or so to have someone else do it... yes its worth THAT much to me.

I manually sanded my Capri 25 down to gelcoat, the barrier coated, and VC17m... It took weeks upon weeks (of my spare time) and its dangerously toxic (a good respirator is mandatory).
