Water collects under the gimbled stove then overflows to the galley sole and winds up in the bilge. I know that it could come from several places, but I hope that some of you have had this same experience and can point me to the most likely suspect.

Check your windows

Check the lexan windows (or the metal windows if you have a MKI). Check all of the screws (you may need to rebed one of the screws). I have a screw that is stripped out on my window and it leaks (I let it drip into a container for now but this weekend I will work on it some). I will fill the hole with epoxy, re-drill it, and then rebed the screw when I put it back in (that should solve the leak). The easiest thing to do is have someone hose the top of your boat and you go below to look for a leak (there is a good chance it is from the windows). If it isn't a window take a look at the hardware that is through bolted and see if the leak is coming from there. If you don't see a leak then you may have to re-bed all of the hardware on your boat to see if that stops the leak.

Check your windows

Do you, by chance, know where to get replacement gasket for the opening port windows? I had leaks and replace temp with adhesive backed tight cell foam - need to do a more permanent job......

Mine did that too, but not from window

Nick, I spent almost a week trying to find where mine was leaking from and was exactly like you describe. I found the source to be the lifeline gate rail mounting bolt. I had to completely remove the galley cabinet to remove and seal the handrail. In doing so, I had wood rot on the paneling and inside the cabinet countertop. I couldnt do much to fix the countertop other than cover it, but I ended up removing the back paneling and leaving the gelcoat exposed which i think looks better.

Thanks

Thank you, I had not thought of the Boarding Gate Stanchion. It sounds like a pain in the neck, but I have no choice. I might ask for more details if thats ok.

Re Bed Hand Rails

Mine did the same thing. It was advised that I should re-bed the exterior wood had holds. I simply put a bead if quality caulk around the base of the hand rails and all leaks stopped. If you don't do it the fiberglass around the windows will deliminate and then you have bigger problems.
