Rigging my 146 completely for the first time. Does the boom just hang on deck when sail is down or does it have a Topping Lift that I didn’t get or aware of how to hook up? Looks like it could cause some damage with sail down….

I did a Google image search. Most did not have a topping lift but a few did
In the second pic the lift is rigged so that it can be slacked. I would recommend that approach … I don’t think you want the line rubbing on your main as in the first pic
