Can anyone tell me where I can find the length of my topping lift? I have a 2007 Hunter 45cc with in mast furling. Where can I find that information?

It should be listed with the length of all your rigging and lines in the owner's manual. If you don't have the manual or the info is missing, try the boat info on this site.

If you have a spinnaker halyard, tie a line to it and raise it as high as it will go. Then extend the line to the end of the boom and mark it. Then lower the line and measure it.

Let's see.

Mast Height = A
Boom length = B
Length of topping lift mast to boom = C

A squared + B squared = C squared.
Square root of "C" + 1.2 times height of mast. To give you a little extra line to tie off.

Attach the end of a tape measure to the main halyard. Hoist it to the top allowing the tape to unwind. Go to the end of the boom and read the length. Do the same straight down to the deck. Pull the tape and halyard back down. That should give you most of the information you need.
