Top Cap for old Lewmar 30

I am looking for the center top cap for an older (pre-82?) Lewmar 30 2 speed winch. I have attached a picture. Have talked to Lewmar and their suggestion was to have one fabricated.... The winch is still in great shape and works great as well. I may be able to dive for the piece that went overboard but a muddy murky bottom make that unlikely to find. As I understand, the 30 and 40 may have the same top cap.

if you have a cast fishing net try throwing it where you lost the part and some times you get lucky ...my buddy in Titusville dropped a small block over one time and he did this ....next thing ya know he had his block back......
