You will love the Raritan Marine Elegance Raritan Marine_Elegance Promo.pdf It's the top rated macerating electric toilet and I have yet to hear or see a word from any owner who doesn't love it. Don't be spooked by the list price...there are retailers who have it for a lot less.

You'll also need to replace ALL the hoses in addition to the toilet. Again, Raritan has the top rated product--their Saniflex hose. It's proven to be 100% odor permeation resistant (even has a 10 year warranty against it), plus it has the added advantage of being so flexible it can be bent almost as tight as a hairpin without kinking which makes hose replacement on most boats a whole bunch easier RaritanSaniFlex hose Although prices are going up at an alarming rate, I think you'll find that Defender has it for the best price by far.

Raritan Elegance Marine Elegance | Raritan Engineering pressurized freshwater electric toilet with macerator model RAR2-2-1-HF-012-01 standard, straight back, white, 12v, momentary control is what I installed recently on my powerboat with 2 toilets.
You should be able to reduce flush water by bringing in a little water ahead of flush, then a short flush using the dry setting . If you always bring water in ahead of solid waste, you won't have to flush as long (using a lot let flush water) to clean the bowl. At least once a day, a quick rinse with clean water will keep the discharge line clean.

thanks Peggie
now i need to decide if i am up for the task. does your book have diagrams of multisystems ? the vac system i have now is one pump for two heads! does not seem practical? the raritan will each have it's own pump (practical) so the plumbing will be different.

The original VF system was two bowls, one pump for at least the first 10 years and worked well as long as both toilets were correctly plumbed. But then SeaLand Technology dropped their requirement that the system had be installed by one of their "certified VF technicians" (I was one) and began allowing boat owners to install it themselves...it wasn't long before they began requiring each toilet to be a completely separate system.

All the "works" are in the pedestal of the Marine Elegance...plumbing consists of running the discharge line to its destination--tank, treatment device or thru-hull. The "Installation, Operation and Maintenance Instructions" (aka owners manual) Raritan Marine Elegance Owners Manual, which includes a parts list and exploded drawings, should answer a lot of your questions and I'll be glad to help you sort everything out in detail if you'd like to send me a PM. Meanwhile,
My book does not include diagrams of electric macerating toilet multi-systems because every macerating electric toilet is a completely separate stand-alone system. It's not even necessary that all the toilets on a boat with multiple heads be the same make/model or even that they all be electric toilets.

However, I do think you'll find my book useful. Its title (my publisher's idea) is a bit misleading...'cuz although it does deal with every source of odor on a boat and how to cure, or better yet PREVENT 'em, it's actually a comprehensive "marine toilets and sanitation systems 101" manual that explains the laws, describes all the types of systems and how they work.

I thought about just jumping in and doing it for you. Then I remembered the parable about giving a fish or teaching to fish... It was more words but what the heck.
