Toilet replacement

Hi Peggie,The Hunter 430 is was equiped with the PAR compact toilet, and I have been looking in vain for a more reasonable sized one. Seems the present one is the only one I've found that fits on the platform, and I think the platform was designed for this toilet. I would have room for one where the bowl extends further forward, but no room for one where the bowl also extends further in back. Is there such a critter made? Thanks.

Have you considered modifying the platform?

All manual (and most electric) marine toilets all drain in the middle of the bowl...so it's inescapable that a bigger bowl is gonna be bigger in both directions. That means the base of a larger toilet has to be mounted further forward than the base of a smaller toilet. Ergo, you're gonna have to create something to bolt the base to further forward to mount one. That can be done fairly easily by first mounting a teak or mahogany "shelf" on your present platform that extends far enough to bolt a toilet to it.
