Hi All, I put a slide show up of my toilet rebuild on my blog (address below). If you see any errors please let me know. Hope it is helpful to people. I hired someone to do it and then took pics. Not sure I fully understood each and everything he did but I tried my best to make it useful. If you know what is going on in some of the pics and I missed something it would be great to get a note. http://catalina28.blogspot.com/ Bonnie Rieser

Why did replace the head?

I just put in a Raritan SeaEra fresh water fresh water head. I regret it now.

Couple reason

The minor ones it cost more than then I expected. I had to run NO 8 cable The main reason is there is to wet bowl dry bowl switch. The factory says it is an option (for $175) but there is to referance to it in the manual. I build a nice control panel, dril holes in the vanity wall, and now I have to retro a new switch for wet bowl / dry bowl. I have to fit it in instead of making it a perfect job! The entire control panel should be build into the head, thus not need to drill holes in the bathroom vanity. Overall it is a good product but I would rather pay more for a better one! My fault for being cheap.

Hi Joseph

http://catalina28.blogspot.com/ HI Joseph, Thank you for all your input. Can I post the text as a comment on my blog so other readers can see it? Also that will help me keep track of it when I want to refer back. I will print your comments and take them over to the sail maker and ask them which of the options I should use. Did you see my blogs about having trouble trimming the sail? They were called "trim of winter jib" and " more on heavy weather jib trim". Any suggestions? I wish they hadn't cut the new jib so flat... so I could use it in more weather conditions. But I did get what I asked for... I just didn't realize it would be useless in 10 knots of wind. Thanks again for your wonderful input. Bonnie

Bonnie, feel free to use my comments any way you like

I haven't said anything I'd be leery about, or wouldn't defend. I have not reviewed your other subjects but will later if I get the chance. BTW where do you sail from? Joe S

Hi Joe, Thanks so much. I will post it as a comment on my blog. If you write me a comment on sail trim right on the blog I will be sure not to miss it. I'll keep looking here as well. I sail in Puget Sound. I've had the boat one year. Best, Bonnie Rieser

Bonnie, Where in puget sound do you keep

your boat. I've seen references to Eagle Harbor, Queen City YC, and Tacoma, so I'm curious. Joe S
