My fore-stay does not have a toggle on the upper end attaching to mast. Looking at some info and it seems that there should be one there. What i think was the original rigging did not have one fitted. How many Vegas are using one and opinions please. Colin... Isis V-703

Hi Colin,

Lealea, V1860 is fitted with a toggle at the top of the fore stay. I have made some changes, but the toggle is original equipment. I also have a toggle at the bottom. My opinion? Absolutely necessary.

I agree. There is a sideways force on the forestay and something has to
give. The toggles allow movement without metal fatigue.
