What's involved in replacing the toe rail on a Beneteau F235. I can't ell how it's fastened to the deck (appears either rivets or slotless screws). How do you remove and replace it? Thanks, Allen Carman / New Orleans

Lots of sweat!!

I just removed 1/2 of one side toe rail of my Idylle 11.5. -My mast came down and folded the rail like a sandwich. It took 4 weekends to find and remove all the nuts (1 every 6 inches) The toe rail is one of the first things that is installed on a boat because the bolts help hold the deck to the hull. That means everything is built over and in front of the toerail bolts. You'll need a 10mm ratchet and expect to get a bunch of bloody knuckles. We'll talk about the replacement part later!!
