Someone mentioned Guam...
'67 - '68, USNavComSta, Guam. Now not even a footnote in history, and the base is long gone.
We saw a TV show the other day showing massive high rise condo's along the sea, none of which existed until about 10 years after I left. :)

Used to visit Anderson AFB on my hours off, to watch the B-52's take off with full bomb loads. Quite a sight!

Also, remember when AFR would do an occasional "ski report" for snow conditions on Mt Lam Lam?

Thanks to all who served and now serve. For those who have sons and daughters and grandsons and granddaughters who served or now serve a special thanks too. They are part of the REAL 1% (not the rich 1%)!

Almost forgot mom! She joined the Navy the day after her 18th birthday in 1942, MUCH to the chagrin of her father. Aviation mechanic. Met dad, and back then WAVES were required to discharge upon marriage. He did 20 years.
