I have a new Beneteau First20.
What are your views about treating or not doing anything to the synthetic teak?
Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm not sure I understand why you would want to do anything to it... it's made of pvc.. clean with soap and water.... It's non skid so you wouldn't want to wax it.... You have a new boat. What does the owner's manual say about it? There are a number of synthetic teak decking brands.... I looked at three of them and non said anything about treating the product... it appears you can also power wash and even sand off stubborn stains.

Thank you gentlemen.
It is not synthetic deck teak, but a synthetic teak toe rail - all round. Also synthetic teak trim around the companionway hatch. There is real teak on the cockpit benches. Go figure - 2 materials. I will allow benches to simply weather to gray because once I start with Cetol (clear), I will be forever a captive. Owner's manual says zilch about it. French, you know. Joe, I like what you are telling me about just relaxing. Best, Dusty
