This weekend I took it to the spiders! Hoisted a spray can to the top of the mast, pulled my homemade trigger and it actually worked. Hopefully, next weekend my mast will be spider web free. Thanks for all your replys, now I know Im not the only one with that problem.

They'll be back...

Anyone who can find a sure-fire way to elimninate spiders long term will make a million bucks. Spiders have to be killed by contact with pesticide, unlike other bugs like ants or roaches who will carry the pesticide back to the nest. This makes them very hard to control. And remember that what kills spiders is probably harmful to humans as well.

They'll Be Back - redux

They will be back! Don't doubt it! I know a marina in Essex, CT that has a definite spider problem. They have to send a hand out each morning to "hand-spray"(with a deck sprayer) the pulpits of each moored boat to wipe out the existing spiders. They (the spiders as well as the hands) are back the next morning. So much for iradicating spiders from the area!

I have no explanation for this but i noticed afeter I stared to use this product to clean boat, the spider population plummetted I started to use it on spider poop after a recommendation on this site and then just did the topside with it on regular cleanings After , i noticed less and less spiders on the boat not all gone but really noticeably diminished go figure t
