i am moving up and moving out.the problem is im 6ft 6in.250lbs and the aux.rutter case in the middle of the head of the aft bed is not agood thing.what i need to know is ? is this hollow tube up for a design to remove it when not needed .i can do all the work myself.if anyone wants to help

...but my hunch is that tube also adds stuctural stability to the rudder post. I'd check with Hunter before removing it. Maybe you could sleep on a diagonal...
