Hello, When preparing wood with epoxi prior to varnish,: after the epoxi is cured, clean it with water and soap and rince a lot, this step will remove all wax residu, it need to be done before you sand or varnish. I am sure every one and you know this already, but i just cant keep my mouth shut on this. I paid a lot of elbow greace for that knowledge.Again, excuse my english.David

Oh so very true! We had friends do an epoxy bottom job and the bottom and the bottom pain literally fell off because most epoxy "blushes" as it cures. In their case they needed to lightly sand the bottom. Thanks for the tips. The local fiberglass guy recommended Sytem Three Silver Tip epoxy. A couple of reasons for that. One - it will cure at 35 degrees f. Two - It does not "Blush".Chuck
