You have a good boat in the 79 H33. I've had one for 5 years and like it better all the time. Since you have such an extensive list, it would be a big help for other H33 owners contemplating refit to photograph and post photo forum articles of the things that work for you and just as important, the things that don't work out just right. Short list?
Looks long to you though I will bet. And it looks so familiar. My completed list might be as long as your entire "To Do" list. But guess what? My "To Do" list did not get any shorter! One problem that I have is that I would rather sail than work. So we launch early in the Spring with the idea that I can do a lot of the projects just as easily in the water. I go to the lake for a work day and what happens? Nice offshore breeze kicks up and all my slipmates say "whataya' doin' Ed, lets get out there." So five years later the project list is still a mile long. And I saw some of your projected costs. Check this site for possibly better teak prices: http://www.thaiteakmarine.com/ And don't forget E-Bay.

Holding tank--or better yet, a LectraSan--and new sanitation hoses. Depending on the make/model/age of your toilet, replacing the whole thing may be a better option than just replacing the seat and lid ($50) and rebuilding it--which wasn't on your list either, btw...another $50. We prob'ly ought to talk a bit before you do anything about any of this. I spent 3 years restoring a 20 yr old project boat, btw. It's a LOT of work...and writing checks never seems to end. But it's also a wonderful experience--a dozen learning experiences that are invaluable...and the satisfation that comes from turning a neglected "floating bag lady" into an "elegant dowager" is a reward that buying a new boat can never equal.

rudder change
It lookes like you have your winter planned out. Just a thought, if you have a shoal draft 33 the rudder is deeper than the keel. After running aground this summer, I had a boat shop cut 7" off the bottom of the rudder and then add 7" to the rudder's trailing edge. The handling appears to be the same and it points as well as ever. And now the keel is the deepest point of the boat, not the rudder.

Sell your house and move on the boat that way you can sleep two hours and work 34 a day. I started my 30 with a list almost that long. I almost finished the list when I sold her last summer. What engine is in there, why spend the money rebuilding if it runs? Pat
