Paul Akers
Greetings, everyone. My name is Paul Akers, Secretary of the Maine Hunter Sailing Association. The MHSA wishes to extend all Hunter owners an invitation to attend out first annual meeting. Below is a note from our Commodore, Peter Poulin regarding the association. My name is Peter Poulin and I am the commodore of the Maine Hunter Sailing Association. The non-profit sailing association was incorporated this past summer and sponsored a very successful Rendezvous and 2 week flotilla on the coast of Maine. Several great friendships were made and we would like to include you in our club. The Maine Hunter Sailing Association is focused on promoting cruising, sailing friendships, education and safety on the coast of Maine. We have many activities planned for the coming year.I am extending a personal invitation to you to participate at our Annual Meeting on November 16 from 4pm to 8pm at the Moose Crossing Restaurant in Falmouth, Maine. The restaurant is extremely easy to find. Just take exit 9 on the Maine Turnpike and at the end of the spur, head south on Route 1 towarsds Falmouth, ME. The restaurant is on the right at the end of the exit ramp. It makes no difference whether or not you are a member. Just come and meet other people who are passionate about their Hunter sailboats. You will find great people who like to laugh, have fun, and tell stories (I think they are mostly true!). Dinner entre selections will be emailed to you upon receipt of your response. MORE REASONS TO COME!!!We are also pleased to announce that an associate from Ed Hamilton & Co., the world's leading sailboat charter broker, will be our guest speaker. He will discuss the new charter bases in the world, where to go after 9/11, the new boats in the various fleets, how to choose a charter company and any other questions you can come up with. Best of all he will bring our imaginations to warmer climates! If you come, you can also participate in our door prize drawing for a cool West Marine $100 gift certificate. Wouldn't that get you off to a good start next Spring? Besides, where else can you get such great odds. Special thanks go to Seacoast Marine of Newburyport Mass., your local Hunter dealer and association sponsor, for funding this great prize. You must be present to win.So please make it a point to let me know by Friday that you will be attending. We can be the best sailing club in Northern New England if we get your participation. Contact me by Friday, November 8th, to let me know your intentions in order to reserve a seat. Space is limited.Sincerely,Peter L.
