Last year we purchased a Hunter 23 it came with a single axle Ken's welding trailer. Any recommendations on tire pressure? I have been working on the boat and need to properly inflate the tires if I am going to get to the water.
Thanks in advance.

the tire pressure depends on the tire...read the sidewall and see what the tire manufacturer requires.

Generally, the pressure is going to be higher than regular car tires, assuming the trailer actually has trailer tires and not low cost car tires.

The load capacity of the trailer is directly affected by proper inflation.

Trailer tires are not rated for high speed, so keep your towing speeds below 65mph and check their temperature, bearings and temp, as well as lug nut tightness every 100-200 miles.

Of course if the trailer is overloaded, bring a bottle jack, tools and spares, at least one.

best of luck
YMMV

Yes you will find air pressure and maximum loads on the sidewall of the tires. I usually will run tires at its maximum indicated pressure to reduce heat build up and maximize rolling efficiency. If you are running a total load of 4000lbs on a one axle trailer you may substract 500 lbs as the weight supported by the tongue and divide the 3,500 lbs left by 2 to get an approximate load per tire of close to 1,750 lbs. You should at the very least have 14" rims and perhaps consider moving up to 15" ones. With a single axle you will likely be at the margins so indeed watch the temperature of the tires and hubs.
