I think I'm just writing in search of pity... but on the off chance that anybody may have run into something like this...We took a little run up the coast this past weekend and having gotten about 5 miles out we went to dump the tank. This has always worked fine before (of course...) This time nothing came out and my wife noticed a loud "ratchet" like sound coming from the transom. The amps jumped up to 30 or so. Great.I checked all the "doh!" items: sea cock open, vent line clear. But the result was the same. The setup on our boat is that the tank flows down to the macerator which is then plumbed to a waste pump at the top of a loop in the starboard transom locker (h37.5). I don't think this is the stock setup. My guess is that part of the macerator (impeller vane??) has broken off and gotten sucked up and jammed in the waste pump which is making that pump scream and the amps to go up. But right now it's just a guess.Any thoughts as to how to troubleshoot this would be appreciated (as would any pity...) Now I KNOW I should have put this on the TOP of my maintenance list and now I'm paying the price. But when faced with the choice of "go sailing" or "maintain poo system" I'm a sucker for the easy way out. Thanks,Jim"Prospect"
