Hunter 37.5 Jacksonville FL
It looks like the time has finally come. After 15 years of ownership and 8 years of living aboard my wife has finally given me the ultimatum. It's either a trawler or dirt dwelling time. Love the sailboat, a H37.5, that I've owned since new. Can't afford two boats, so a thought occured. Buy the trawler so that I can continue to live aboard and offer the Hunter in a 25%fractional ownership plan. At least I can sail now and then. Thoughts???

If you can tolerate having people less caring about the boat than you likely were and not having it stocked with all your gear all the time, I think you would be good. I have had some experience in a fractionally owned classic boat and currently a lake boat and both arrangements were satisfactory. However, wouldn't it be easier on the pocketbook and handier for sailing to simply sell the 37.5 and get a smaller boat for just you, like a Cal 20, J24, etc?
