replacement tillers

Don't worry so much about matching your existing tiller exactly. So long as it is about the same length as the original and can be made to fit the rudder's headstock, you can go with whatever suits your fancy. I replaced the tiller on my Oday 23 this summer, going from a straight stick of oak to a beautiful curved, laminated model. The curve makes it so much more comfortable to steer it ain't even funny. I bought mine at West Marine. About $55. Defender and BoatUS also carry the same line; they are made by H&L. I think the model I bought is listed as a direct replacement for some 27 foot boat, but it is the same length as my original.
