I would like to replace teh aluminum tiller with a wood tiller or even a carbon fibre tiller. Where can I purchase a new tiller? Thanks, Tim

there is a company

check the archives as there is a company who will make one for you unless someone responds with the information. I do not know or remember who it is. How about the fellow in New York. Where did you get yours.

They stock tillers for many boats and will custom-fabricate one for any boat if you provide certain key dimensions. Not sure of the URL for their website though. You might try an archive search under "replacement tiller H&L" and see what happens. Good luck. Peter H23 "Raven"

Idasailor will make them as well. Their Teak and holly tillers are really nice.

Got mine at H & L

Just got back back from sailing in the Keys for a week. Windy! Found out about the Key West Sailing Club right here on this site. Anyhow, I got a tiller for my H26 at H&L Marine at 323-636-1718 2965 E. Harcourt Rancho Dominguez, CA 90221 They do great custom wood work and the whole thing, including shipping, was about $80. I broke one in rough seas on Lake Ontario. I had a second one made and added aluminum braces near the base. Now it works great. I highly suggest the wood, but if you ever sail in rough seas you may want the added strength. Happy sailing...
