My wife and I have thought about getting a tiller pilot for our boat. We have looked at the Simrad TP 10. Does anyone have any info on how well this unit works, and is it quiet? Thanks in advance.

We have used the TP 10 on our '77 h27 for about 7 years now. It works great. It makes a low kind of sound as it actuates, but never has bothered us. Of course, we mostly use it while motoring or motor sailing. I love the tiller when we are sailing on the wind alone.
