I have a Simrad Tiller Pilot 22 and I am wondering if I need to be super careful with it when it is not being used. I looked for a case, or padded bag to protect it but do not see anything available. How do those of you with tiller pilots store the units when not in use?

I had a TP-10 on my Hunter 23.5. Other than burning out the units from excessive weather helm from blown out sails, the units have worked well. I simply took the unit off the tiller and placed it in a box with my PFDs under the companionway. Stays dry and quickly available for use. It is rugged from a man-handling point. Just cannot take excessive loads. Burn outs occurred when the weather builds and I take too long to Reef. My bad.
