Tiller lock box?

I was interested in finding a way to lock the tiller for a short period of time just to free a fouled line, or raise the sails etc. Has anyone found a way such as using a tiller tamer, or a tiller extension lock box? I would rather not cut a hole into the top side if possible. I do not need a auto tiller. Thanks Dave

I’ve been happy with the results from a tiller tamer. I sail a smallish lake in Nebraska and with a quick twist of the locking knob I’m free to move about changing jibs, fetching a soft drink, or whatever.Bob NobleSV Miss Lisa
