TILLER HANDLE......................REPAIRING SAME

HAS ANYONE HAD TO REBUILD THE TILLER HANDLE FOR A HUNTER 23.5..

What is wrong with it and why does it need to be rebuilt? A picture of the issue would help.

The aluminum handle broke right at the point where it bolts onto the actual rudder... the 9 inch section is still attached to the rudder... i was thinking of welding same or is there another way to fix same...... I am up in Newfoundland and does not have access to such items here..

A photo would really help.

I have rebuilt tillers in white oak on other boats, but I'd have to see your set-up to know if that would be at all reasonable in your case.
